I like numbers. 347 is not a very special number, really, but it is quite a lot of daily blog entries.
I am less than 20 days away from my Mallorca Daily Photo Blog’s one year anniversary.
I do not know how many readers MDPB has, but over 40,000 clicks so far surprised me quite a bit when compared to my initial expectations. A sizeable number of visitors seem to be regular readers which is pleasing. They seem to be UK, Spain or Ireland based, on the whole, but readers also seem to come from France, Italy, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, and Germany. Many pages get translated by Google, albeit with often laughable results. But it is rewarding to see that those translations are done in Greek, Dutch, French, Italian, German, and, wait, a totally unexpected avalanche of Asian languages, such as Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Indian.
Who would ever have thought. Good for Mallorca, if there is such an international interest out there for this small gem of an island.
I have recently started a German Mallorca Foto Blog version but it is early days yet, too early to evaluate any success so far. We’ll see.
